Membership is inclusive and welcomes all individuals with an interest in Bernese Mountain Dogs, regardless of whether they currently own one. For those contemplating the addition of a Berner to their family, joining the club offers a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the breed and connect with reputable local breeders.
New member applications require two sponsors who are club members. If you do not know a member let us know, and we'll be glad to introduce you to a member in your area.

The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Alaska extends a warm invitation to Junior members and encourages their active participation (please refer to the membership levels outlined below). Becoming a Junior Member not only demonstrates support for the club but also provides children with an avenue to engage with our community. Additionally, all children of club members are welcome to attend club events, irrespective of their official membership status as Junior Members.
Regular Membership-Enjoys all club privileges including voting and holding office.
Household Membership-Two (2) adult members residing in the same household, each eligible to vote and hold office. Children (under 18) in the same household will have rights of a Junior member.
Associate Membership-Available to individuals who live outside the clubs area, or who are not active. Not eligible to vote or hold office.
Junior Membership-Open to youth under 18 years of age. Not eligible to vote or hold office.
Our meetings and most activities are open to all Berner fanciers, whether or not they are club members. Club events are listed in the Calendar section of this website or on our Facebook.
Need a sponsor for your new member application? Attend club meetings, activities, or shows. You'll be sure to meet members who will be happy to sponsor you.
